    Hello Johny and welcome.

The best advice I can give you at this stage is to read as much about beekeeping as possible for now, especially the FAQ part of this forum. Try to find a local beekeeper who may give you some hands-on experience in helping in his apiary. Offer to buy some of his/her honey. Good luck.

    Norm

    Welcome Johnny!

Read, read and read. When your brain hurts, take a rest, then read some more. And get some hands-on if at all possible.

    Good luck! Smile

    Hi there Johnny.

I say just do it. Get some local beek to give you package or two of bees. Download Phil's "how to buld top bar hive", build it and put some bees in there Smile

As you go you will see what needs to be done. Any questions? Just come here and ask. There are couple of really knowlegable guys here and they will I am sure help you!

At least that is how it worked for me Wink

Welcome to the forum. I'm starting up in spring too.

I downloaded the plans for Phil's TBH and talked my brother into making it for me (i just do software, not woodworking). My son is making one as a project for his woodworking class so I will have a spare.

Find your local beekeeping club and say hello.

    good luck!
