Thanks so much for the kind words.

I use solid floors. I'm not saying I'm against mesh floors. I just think solid floors are more practical for me doing removals, etc. Plus, I keep hearing stories about bees not being able to regulate temps as well and absconding. But hey, it's just me. Not downing the mesh floors.

Regarding the eco-floor, I'm sure you've all heard the saying that beekeeping is local. Well, whenever I DO have detritus on the floor, small hive beetles tend to hide in it and start laying eggs, etc. It probably works great in Europe where small hive beetles haven't appeared yet, except for maybe in Italy.
