|
|
Has anyone heard about the shipping prices on the special promo Beekeepers' Kit from Flow Hive? They are running a special promo via email, but it does not list the shipping price! Would love to get mine with my Flow Hive Frame order, but there is just not much information.
Please let me know if anyone has an idea on what the shipping charge will be on this item. The price is great for a full suit, goatskin gloves and J Tool http://www.honeyflow.com/shop/bee-suits/p/96
Surely someone has heard via the rumour mill if they are going to be able to ship free with your order given that they say the suits will be ready for shipment in June, which is the shipping time of the early perks on Indigogo. |

Thank you for the constructive response. Yes this has been done, but there is obviously no info yet. I was just hoping with so many people here someone might have more info. The pricing seems pretty good for what looks like some nice stuff. |

A member of our local discussion group is waiting for an order, around £600, not sure about the delivery charge to UK. These guys are going to get very rich by the number of orders on their site. Good luck to them.
I'm trying to remain open minded, but don't like the idea of plastic in a hive. |

fully understood that, but at the time of posting, I compared it to me asking an international site how much postage would be to uk? |

Conserving wild bees
Research suggests that bumble bee boxes have a very low success rate in actually attracting bees into them. We find that if you create an environment where first of all you can attract mice inside, such as a pile of stones, a drystone wall, paving slabs with intentionally made cavities underneath, this will increase the success rate.
Most bumble bee species need a dry space about the size a football, with a narrow entrance tunnel approximately 2cm in diameter and 20 cm long. Most species nest underground along the base of a linear feature such as a hedge or wall. Sites need to be sheltered and out of direct sunlight.
There is a spectacular display of wild bee hotels here
