So I have been all over the world looking at bees, from NZ and OZ to Africa, egipt zanzibar SWA and SA, western europ and eastern europ the usa , but there is only one place in the world that can be called organic certifide honey and that s CUBA. as they dont use any pestecides or herbesides.
But this is a story about cigars!
So Sir Winston Churchill was part of populerising cigars, he encounted them when baraxed out there. SO even during the WW2 gentels men s gentelmen would fly to cuba to get cigars for the gentilmes club, even in the middle of the cuban crices they flew in and got ciars for the smocking clubs. Thats perty crazy! but it gets more intersting.
You have to understand the tax ation in cuba to get the next bit. Ok a tabaco farmer in cuba pays 90% tax in crop, not money, so if you buy the most expensive cigar in the world, you are not getting the top 10%!! To get the top 10% you have to go to turist bus and car parks in rural cuba and by directly ffrom the framers, you can get cigars with names like Sir Bradford , still made to the specifications of the culb in London, but with no buyres comming from london any more!!
But so here is the cool bit!
So cheep sigars are glued with sugar water, your most expensive cigars are glued with honey, BUT the cigars the cadalac or extreemo supreemo are glue with honey from bees that flew over the very same taback crop!! Now thats very cool.
Ps I recomend cuba , very cool, not a sh1t hole like the next islands along. jamaka hati do not go there.

Conserving wild bees
Research suggests that bumble bee boxes have a very low success rate in actually attracting bees into them. We find that if you create an environment where first of all you can attract mice inside, such as a pile of stones, a drystone wall, paving slabs with intentionally made cavities underneath, this will increase the success rate.
Most bumble bee species need a dry space about the size a football, with a narrow entrance tunnel approximately 2cm in diameter and 20 cm long. Most species nest underground along the base of a linear feature such as a hedge or wall. Sites need to be sheltered and out of direct sunlight.
There is a spectacular display of wild bee hotels here
