.
Actually, I built two of these for a lady, but I only dragged one of them out to my front yard for this photo session.
It was more work, time, expense and detail than I care to deal with again. Unless someone is willing to pay $500.00 per hive, it's not worth my time.
But nonetheless, it was fun and I'm glad I did it.
All it's lacking is electrical and plumbing. In fact, I want to sell my house and move into this hive.
And yes, it's based on Phil Chandler's design. Thanks, Phil.

Yes, the CEO of Monsanto is begging for a slot, but I told him I'm not quite ready to sell my soul.
Thanks for the kind words, Phil.
By the way, over at Beesource, I started a thread there based on this build, specifically regarding viewing windows. Well anyhow, the thread went down the path of discussing your hive design.
You may (or may not) want to clarify a few misunderstandings some folks are having. I posted some of your quotes, which helped, but some whining persisted:

I just delivered the two bee hives to the customer today.
I wasn't quite expecting these bees would be living so exquisitely by the beach in St Petersburg, FL - up on a 2nd-floor balcony:

Yeah, it's crystal clear to me at this point also. At first I thought she was going to live in a typical, older white Florida beach house.
Hahaha.
I was a bit shocked when I rolled up. |

I was wondering if that was a vinyl corner piece... I'm in the middle of replacing the siding on my home and have a few, er, scraps... otherwise known as mistakes... that would work perfectly for that! How did you cap off the ends, if you don't mind me asking? |

Total overkill. But she got what she wanted, and I hope she paid you well for those palaces. Next will come the call asking to help move tenants in and manage the hives. |

But generally, rich people are the only ones who want me to build hives.
So most hives I build for customers will be overkill.
I don't even own a hive close to being that nice. |
